La bacteria que la ocasiona se propaga cuando una persona infectada tose o estornuda. La mayor\u00eda de las personas infectadas no tienen s\u00edntomas gracias a que un buen sistema inmunol\u00f3gico mantiene las bacterias controladas. Sin embargo, cuando este falla, hay s\u00edntomas como tos (algunas veces con sangre), p\u00e9rdida de peso, sudores nocturnos y fiebre.<\/p>\n<p>Existe la necesidad de que los pa\u00edses act\u00faen y se hagan cargo de la prevenci\u00f3n y acceso al tratamiento, garantizar una financiaci\u00f3n adecuada para la investigaci\u00f3n, poner fin a la discriminaci\u00f3n por esta enfermedad y a la estigmatizaci\u00f3n que sufren los enfermos, detecci\u00f3n oportuna y su debido tratamiento, educar a la poblaci\u00f3n sobre el tema, generar programas e ingresos destinados para atacar este mal, entre otras medidas sanitarias.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>&lt;&lt; Es hora de actuar.
